I'm still pretty new to guinea pigs (had my two for about a month now) but never once have I seen either of them sleep. I've seen my rabbit, gerbils and hamsters sleep but never my pigs. They seem very active no matter what time it is. They do spend time in their cuddle cups and snuggle sacks and pigloos, but when I go to see them they are awake. I go to bed around 1am and get up at 8am, and they are always awake and running around. So do they just sleep in the middle of the night, or do they wake up when they hear me enter the room? What's your experiences, have you ever seen you pigs sleep? Or am I just being really stupid?

Piggies do sleep. :)

When you first have them and even sometimes longer, depending on how brave they feel, they sleep with their eyes open so it seems like they're awake. If they're super comfortable they will sleep with their eyes shut.

They tend to sleep for only minutes at a time though.

When we started being slaves to Guinea Pigs we wondered the same thing, but soon found out that Piggies sleep with their eyes open,
