Hi

I like the idea of C&C cages, but would have to get the kit from eBay I think, can't find any locally, but my question is.... Do your piggies not manage to escape?

Thanks!

:)p

Adventerous piggies may do. But I kept my piggies in a low side pen for 6 months and none of them thought about trying to get out.

I am sure some one will tell me I am wrong, no names mentioned rolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyesrolleyes

I don't have c&c but I have on occasion left the hutch or run unlocked and the piggies have never got out (ok well actually one did once but he just sat next to the run and waited to be collected). They don't seem to be very adventurous animals and prefer to stay home. Not like hamsters!

As long as they are fed, I don't think piggies will move.:)):)):)):)):)):)):))

I have one piggie whose nose reaches well above the top of the C&C grid when she is at full stretching, usually trying to pull the hay bag down into her cage :)) little monkey.

None escaped yet or even tried to though, despite me having proof that 3 of the 4 are high jumpers (when in bath!)

my previous 2 pigs would jump out of their cage at the first opportunity (when they were kept on a carpeted floor) and hey were a nightmare to catch. Rene, little devil, would usually hide under the bed in the spare room where he'd started eating the boxes of Maxy's kilt accessories (space was an issue at the time...).

My current 2, I can leave the cage open all night and they won't budge.

I've never had C&C so I can't comment on that but I think it depends on whether you have stunt pigs or homely pigs!:))

Most will behave - adventure palls quickly if you can't share it with your friends, believe me!

I would never trust a pig not to escape, it is not worth the risk.
