Do poos vary between guinea pigs?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have two guinea pigs. My larger pig does bigger poos that are considerably lighter than my smaller pig. Is this normal, I have had them for three years and never noticed a difference but then again I have never really studied there poos that intensely! Or is this a sign that Smudge (my smaller pig) is hiding an illness? - I have attached a picture showing the difference in size and colour.
Thank you in advance!09E0FAFD-AA5B-42B5-A437-992ADFDDD9D2.webp

Hi!

In short yes. Poo size and form can differ quite a bit. What you want to learn is what is normal for your own piggies so you can spot marked changes.

Where do you keep your Guinea pigs? Because I might be totally wrong, but that dark poo looks a lot like rat poo, I noticed because I have pet rats.

The smaller poo looks like a very normal piggy poo to me. I have plenty of them every day! ;)

Hi!
My guinea pigs live inside and there are alot that look like the smaller poo so I dont think it is rat poo
Thank you Wiebke I will keep an eye on them and the poos to try and determine what is normal for my pigs, I just wanted to check that there wasn’t an underlying condition causing it although I wasn’t too worried as he is still eating and gets VERY excited for veg. I have recently opened a new bag of hay which I don’t think that they are as keen on as it is a bit dry so I also wonder if he just isn’t eating as much of the new hay compared to the previous bag which was much greener (so I assume tasted nicer). I am weighing him regularly though so if his weight changes too much I will be sure to take him to the vet.
Thank you again!

You should notice a drop in hay intake from one day to the next...

Yes, I think that I have noticed that I haven’t had to fill up the hay as often, I did open another bag aswell so I have tried to mix the two bags together and I think that they are eating a bit more now. I am currently weighing them both daily though so that I can keep an eye on them and make sure that they aren’t losing too much weight. I think they are just a bit spoilt and are hoping that there might be some nicer hay coming along😂
