Hi everyone,

our Oreo had a spay operation a week ago due to having ovarian cysts. It all went well but I was just wondering if her enlarged nipples and the crustiness of them will go away post operation or not? We are asking the vet at her check up but I just wondered if anyone had experience to share. Thanks :)

Thank you both... new question.. my other half just took her to the local vet for a check up. He was in and out in under 30 seconds.. literally. He was messaging me the whole time and said going in and that's it we're out. The vet just took one glance at her tummy and said she's fine and that was it and then they wanted to charge him £40 consultation fee. I told him to refuse to pay that because they barely looked at her! They at least could have checked her over for a full consultation fee.. No word on if she was in pain or any discussion on how she is getting on post-op like about her poops or behaviour. I could look at it for 10 seconds and say looks fine.. In the end they said it was £28 instead of £40 and where my other half is feeling ill at the moment ( I was meant to go but couldn't have got there in time) he paid as he feels too ill to argue it. I'm really annoyed. Literally £1 plus per second. I don't suppose there is anything I can do because he paid and left. Is it even worth me picking up the phone? I'm fuming honestly and I wish I had gone.

Hi!

The nipples will return to normal but it is not as immediate as you seem to think; it takes the body a little while to adjust. You can try and gently wipe of some the crusts or wait until they come off on their own.
