Do I Need To Leave The Light On?

Hi, my guineas have a room to themselves and I am wondering if I need to put a light on after it gets dark. They do have a window in their room but with the nights drawing in I don't know what to do for the best.

No, they don't need a light on. It doesn't make any difference to their behaviour.

I put the light on when it starts to get dark and switch it off when I go to bed
