I'm not sure...

Because they are a 'prey' animal i dont think they like to show pain or weekness... but thats only what ive heard...

I think Squeal.
I checked one of mines teeth this morning and she didnt like it and make a loud squeal, so didnt do it in the end!

But in general i think if theyre in pain they dont make any noise or show they are in pain.

Rabbits and guinea pigs will often not show they are in pain till they are quite ill, but saying that I think if guinea pigs are in pain they will make a sound. When they have to have an injection they sound as if you are killing them!

my vet was talking about this subject yesterday and how well pigs hide pain and illness

thats probably why is seems they go down hill so fast. Because they are hiding their sickness untill they are really sick!
Very smart... in a way ;D

At the vets if some one rings up with a rabbit or guinea pig that shows signs of illness we tell them that they have to have an appointment today.
