Do guinea pigs know when to stop eating

There is no such thing as enough for piggies! As hay is their main food source and is essential for gut and dental health, they need to eat it all the time. If a piggy stops eating hay then that is a sign of a problem.
Veg and pellets are merely daily snacks, never a meal, and need to be kept limited. Ensuring veg and pellets aren’t overfed (one cup of veg per day and one tablespoon of pellets per day) will ensure they continue to eat enough hay constantly

They are meant to be constant grazers... so basically they just graze hay on and off all day. Hay isn't very nutritionally dense so they evolved to basically eat a lot of the time. In the wild, they would basically walk and eat the grass and we have to provide something similar for them as pets. They won't overeat on hay, they aren't like a horse that can eat too much too fast and make themselves sick.

Guinea pigs eat when they want, how much they want, and they stop to go play when they want! atleast mine do. Hay is their favorite food,so they will eat as much as they please!
