Like when they sit in the lap or are being pet and kissed? My mom thinks that they get stressed form being cuddled, is that true? They just sit there and make tiny noises. If you pet them in certain ways they close their eyes. They lick my face on my nose and mouth allot, but even more the fingers.

Your piggies sound like they are enjoying the affection. I would not worry.

Closing their eyes is a sign of contentment/happiness so I wouldn't be worried. It sounds like your piggies really enjoy it.

It certainly depends on the piggy. Some do, but some don't. As owners it is up to us to familiarise ourselves with our animal's likes and dislikes.

The closing of eyes is a very good sign as, as others have said, it is a sign of contentment. Piggies are prey animals and so in the wild would always be alert and on the look-out for predators. Most would even sleep with their eyes open. If your piggy is closing their eyes then they obviously trust you :)

It depends on the pig I think, just like some humans are affectionate and some not.

My Elliot is a very shy piggy and resists being picked up, but once he's sat on my chest he must really enjoy being tickled and stroked as he closes his eyes and sometimes lies down.

Oscar enjoys affection for a few minutes, but when he's fed up he will let us know by trying to scale down our legs to the floor! Danger-pig!

Charlie is still quite shy and doesn't really enjoy affection with the humans, yet is very affectionate with the other boars and will often snuggle up to them.

I think it depends on the individual pig.

I think as long as you're not making loud noises or moving really abruptly they find it fine :)

If they start making themselves comfortable, like stretching out/laying on their side/closing their eyes/chooken legs, and they're also gently chirping, I'd say they're enjoying it :)
