So I was going to get a Boy Guinea Pig cause I thought girls get their period and that would be a mess! But I read something saying they don't, And I just read something sounding like they do? And I already have a girl XD

I have 7 girls and I've never seen one having a Period! They do come into season, though. I can tell when my Maya is in season; she keeps calling to Clyde, the boar next door! Beano rumblestruts around her sister Dandy. In short, when a female is in season, she starts acting like a male!

Alrighty! Thanks guys! I thought they didn't get it but I was reading stuff like they did? Thanks Guys!:D

They do have menstrual cycles (and you can generally tell- they get moody!) but do not bleed during their seasons. They reabsorb any uterine lining instead. When you think about it, it makes sense that if you are a prey animal, you do not want blood loss every couple of weeks alerting the predators to your presence! Any genital bleeding is a sign of a problem that needs to be investigated, not a period! Hope this helps!

Hettie seems to be in season today, she is popcorning around, doing the pneumatic drill sound and attempting to mount poor Tilly :(
Also Kate, When hey popcorn it doesn't have to mean they are in season, My Pumpkin popcorns and when I looked up why, It said it means their happy.. It is something little ones do! :D
