I'm very new to this so sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place! :(

for over a year now I have had two female piggies (sisters) living in a single tier hutch that up to now, has been fairly big..
however I now have the dilemma of finding a bigger hutch... in an ideal world, I would have a C&c cage in my bedroom but my parents both think I'm barmy! I've tried explaining all the pro's but my parents are adamant on no

anyway, I have been searching for a large, two tier hutch that will accommodate both piggies and toys ect and yet is still able to fit in the shed in the winter and be easy to take out in the summer and the odd warm day we get in the UK (not very often)

I haven't found a decent one at a decent price yet so I was thinking about making one (that way I can customise it) however both my parents are rather awful at DIY haha!
so I was thinking of just adding a second level to my existing hutch?
it is made of wood and is on legs and I was thinking of putting more wood around the legs and adding some wire, then somehow cutting a hole in the bottom of the hutch to accommodate for a ramp?

I'm not really sure how I would do that part, any ideas how to add a bottom level with ramp?

sorry this is so long!

First I'd recommend having a temory home while you work on this one because the time pressure is taken away
Second get some measurements so you can work out your budget there fore choose a bit of wood to your budget
Third planing ahead your measurements is always good as then you can buy a big pecice there for getting a better price they also cut at b/q
Don't forget any off cuts can be used as a ramp so wait until you have it and then make the hole according to the off cut
Its better off using the existing cage as the top level and building the new level underneath there for you have the roof sorted
Hope it all goes well Astrid x
