Hi all,

We have the bluebell hutch from PAH and me and my husband want to make a run to put onto it for summer days so the Guineas have the option of being in or out. We’ve looked online for ones but they’re too expensive....

Has anyone made a run for this kind of hutch and could give me some guidance as what to do ... we’re not the most imaginative or technical of people 😂

Ooh we have those too for indoor playpens they are really versatile and sturdy and you can fold them or clip 2 together or overlap the panels to make any size and shape you want- highly recommend for piggies! But probably not for rabbits or puppies which is what they are marketed for...

Also for outdoors you might want a better roof for sunshade and to make them cat proof?

Hi all- thank you so much for your replies. We have actually got that cage which is great on the lawn, but where the hutch is, it’s on concreate (facing away from the sun) so we need something that is sturdy and safe on concreate. We did think about turning the hutch around so it faces the grass but it would mean the sun would be on it all day 😞

You can make your own easy enough. I did a drawing, bought the wood, bought the L shape metal fixings, the wire mesh. Had a hammer, electric screw driver, staple gun. Just remember to design it so its top opening. Tip: use a large diameter and height wood for the bottom section to give more weight.

In fact if you just look at some of the designs on the web you can see how it's made.
