I've been looking at the various piggie beds/hammocks/sofas on ebay and various websites, and I'd really love my pigs to have some. However I am so low on money right now that I can't even afford to buy anything over £10 or so. I thought I might make some myself and cut costs.
Does anyone have any advice on the best way to go about it?
Ideally I'm going to end up with the following, all home made-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Large-Fleece-...14&_trkparms=72:1686|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TX-Luxury-Cut...14&_trkparms=72:1686|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Reversible-Tu...14&_trkparms=72:1686|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/leopard-print...14&_trkparms=72:1686|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

in fact, having looked at the products and their various complexities, would it actually be cheaper to buy them? does anyone know of any sites where i could get these beds for cheaper?

Hello. I do make stuff, sell stuff too, but here's a hint or two that might help in these cash strapped times!

To make a nice bed they enjoy lying on that is easy to wash, use two big circles of material, one three inches wider all round than the other. Gather the larger one and sew onto the edge of the smaller one, leaving a hole in the seam to put stuffing into. Then sew a smaller circle inside, leaving a gap in this seam as well. This gives you a flat inner circle with just enough room to put a bit of stuffing, and a one side flat and the other side gathered outer circle with room to put a fair bit of stuffing into.

Stuff the inner circle lightly and sew it closed. Then stuff the outer circle more firmly and sew this closed. Use microfibre from a pillow or cushion pad, it's easily washable and the cheapest way to get hold of stuffing. (Don't buy it in bags from a material shop)

Just make this big enough for your piggie(s), it does work and can be washed loads and loads.

I make tunnels but they do take a lot of making so they're about the same price to be honest.

I've tried to put a picture of Carmilla relaxing on one up here. If you need more instructions then please ask, but I'm sure you can see there's a flatter inner cusion to lie on and a plumper cushion around the edge. I don't actually have these on my website, but I can make one for you if you like. That one has been through the wash I don't know how many times!
