Can anyone tell me what if anything I can put in guineas ears to get rid of and clean what basically looks like gunge, I think it is wax. Only three of my five get dirty ears, the other two are fine. I use a liquid ear cleanser for my dogs but not sure whether it is safe to use on guineas? Cheers O0

Yes it is wax and if not cleaned out it could attract mites.Otodox on a cotton bud is the best way to clean . Make sure you do not poke the bud right into the ear.

Peter Guerny also suggests a little bit of olive oil and massage this in...especially under the earthe guinea pig may cough a little but it should be fine, then soak up the excess with a piece of cotton wool O0 I think that may be more of a preventative, but it could help O0
