I found some C&C grids in Netto (thanks to Dave), a box of 24 for £12 and decided it was time to have a go. I also got 5 sheets of 2mm correx type stuff off ebay for £27.
This is my first attempt.

Less than 5 minutes later I took this video, are they settled or what.

I think so.

Aww, they do look very settled in their amazing new set up! Thanks for sharing, and well done on the build, it's great! (what a bargain too!) :))

I've seen piggy houses like this alot, what is it made out of and what do you put on the base?

Brilliant :) Really great.

I love seeing other peoples C&C cages, gives me lots of inspiration to tweak mine.

Did you make the ramps yourself?

Are you finding it easy to clean out etc?

I'd say that's a pretty awesome first attempt!
You're piggies are absolutely beautiful. They all have great faces and I love their crests!
They look so at home in their new digs. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing the pictures and the video.

That looks fantastic, I would love to keep my sonic indoors but we have our doggie george who isnt very friendly towards him :( So at least I can fence him off in the garden and george cant get near his home then x

Excellent set up and your pigs look really happy xx

Hi, it's made of cubes and coroplast, hence the name C&C. The grids are from a system of storage known as cubes and the base or tray inside is made of correx (there are several makes all begining with cor) If you google C&C there is a whole world of ideas available. Its only been up a couple of days and they seem to be benefiting from it so much already.
You could try here first http://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm

Yes I did make the ramps myself. I used some plywood for the walky up and down bit and some hardboard for the bannisters. I used carpet for grip so that the Piggies don't have to scrabble up and down. Dindy has deformed toes due to her pre rescue days of seriously overgrown nails, so she has major difficulty gripping without the use of propper nails.

I've not done a full clean yet but I think it's going to be easier than the tripple decker that they were in before. Poo patrols are easier.

Loved the video and seeing the bed and tunnel in action. I liked the end when Dindy went into the tunnel :)

If the tunnel flattens you can fold back the end that is not the 'stuffed crust' to make it stand up more. Hope that makes sense!

I knew you'd spot them Pollie. It's the first time I've had chance to use the camera otherwise I would have done a photo shoot for you. Cupcake is laying in the Tunnel at the moment, they both love it. Ever thought of a 90 degree tunnel?

The 90 degree tunnel is a great idea! I'll have a go at making some over the summer! I've got a plan for a special hallowe'en bed that I'll also be working on!
