Different wheeks?

Is there any way of telling the difference between excited/happy wheeks and unhappy/I've been hurt wheeks?
One of mine has started squeeking like a baby bird - ie just one high pitched squeek (not a wheek) every so often. What could this be?
How can I tell when they're just excited about something (ie food) or really want something?

After a little while you will be able to tell what the wheeks mean. Next time he does it take notice of what you have done/ are doing e.g. put him back in the cage, open the fridge, just cleaned him out.
