both my guinea pigs make different sounds but the one i find odd is the sound like a dove cooing ,, it happens when I'm stroking towards their rump. are they angry or happy?
Daisy also does this when I stroke near her rump - I take to mean "get off"! She's quite moody! Balckberry is totally different, a lot more confident and cheeky. I say that Daisy is more of a lady!
I've also noticed they do it if they run into their pigloo together - I always hear a loud cooing noise.
gentle cooing is a good noise, means they like it if they dont like being stroked near the rump they generally get fidgety and squeal a bit,but if they happily sit there then they like it
Me too, I don't think that purring noise is pleasant, I'm pretty sure it means discomfort.
Most guinea pigs hate their rump petted anyway, who knows why..?
