i went to a vet last week and he made it seem like it was an ear infection and it was no big deal. he prescribed baytril and i have been giving it to him twice a day, along with a probiotic because had diarrhea. recently, i noticed his eye was red and cloudy. his head tilt seemed to be getting better last week but today he was tilting a lot and drooping his mouth (as shown in video). he has been eating normally and wheeking/no signs of pain. I've been researching and cant figure out if this is a URI, dental issue, or severe ear infection? I'm just worried he is in pain or that this issue will be more stressful to fix than it is to let him rest in piggy heaven, he is six years old. Thank you in advance all for the advice <3 Just a worried piggy mom

Hi and welcome
The eye looks like a potential hay poke injury? Especially if an ulceration (blueish/greyish gunk) is forming on the surface. Please have it vet checked as soon as you can.

Please step in with feeding support asap. Our comprehensive practical support guide with all the little tips and some videos and pictures will help you: All About Syringe Feeding and Medicating Guinea Pigs with Videos and Pictures

I cannot judge sight unseen but the cluster of problems you are mentioning could point towards CBS syndrome, which is a very new kid on the block. It can be diagnosed by an x-ray of the head (diseased middle ear cavities are walled off and show up clearly).
You can find the relevant information in the link below. It is currently mostly found in US piggies.

I hope that this helps you?

Ah this is a very clear explanation and unfortunately I think you are right ): there is no cure aside from continued use of antibiotic, praying my piggy can overcome it! but thank you so much it is extremely helpful to give me an idea of what is happening because his symptoms are all over the place
