I will be taking part in this on Saturday and Sunday. Diabetes UK is a charity very dear to my heart, and I have also got a Just Giving page for people to make donations. http://www.justgiving.com/Debbie-Po...campaign=fundraisingpage-donation-alert-email
Some of you may have noticed that I wasn't about much during August and early September. This was because my daughter, Hannah, was in hospital very ill. She is type 1 diabetic and had collapsed at home and was on the floor for over 24 hours before she was found. She nearly died, and spent 6 days in intensive care, and was in hospital for three weeks.
It's been a very difficult time for my family, and we are just so relieved that Hannah has recovered well. I will be going to visit Hannah tomorrow. She lives in Leeds, so I don't get to see her very often. It's really made me realise just how precious family is, and how fragile life can be.
