Hello everyone :) i have two male guinea pigs i recently got a second for my older male for companionship. things seem like they have gone well over the past month but recently iv noticed the older guinea has been in a grumpy mood. and picking on the other and now that guinea pig has been sitting in one spot for 2 days not squeaking or running into his house and he hasn't been eating much I'm worried that he could be depressed or worse maybe sick :( i moved him into another cage for the time being until i can figure out whats going on here.

I would take him to the vet to be checked out. Guineas can go down hill fast if they are not eating.

Try getting him out on your lap and tempt him with his favorite veg. It may take him a while to start nibbling as he could be a bit nervous. If he eats happily then he probably isnt ill, but with piggies you shouldnt take chances if they are off their food. Get an appointment as soon as possible. If you cant get seen today and he doesnt eat of his own accord, try mushing up some of his pellets in warm water and give via a syringe if you have one or the tip of a teaspoon. He may have teeth probs or something else. If he is being bullied by your older pig, he should eat when away from him. Good luck :)

OOhh poor you and poor piggie,
Like Lavendarjade recommends get him on your lap and give a nice veggie treat!.

Good luck! xx
