Well after trying out a few sizes and things with my C&C grids I have decided to have a 4x2 with a 1x2 loft. I will use the loft as storage for now since I don't have any way of making a ramp lol. I didn't realize a 2x4 could be quite so big so I am sure it is plenty for little McMac :) And then when I have ordered a couple of more connectors and grids and have tried out boar dating I think I will expand to a 2x5 with the loft :)

I don't have any coroplast at the mo so can't use it just yet. I will order it tonight or tomorrow and hopefully it will be here soon :D What do you think of my cage?

It looks great! I do not have any corrox either and it is fine. I do not have a hay loft. I put the hay on the floor and my piggies love to borrow in it as well as eat it. :)

I think I will buy a cheap shower curtain until the correx comes :) I have seen people use those since they are waterproof

You can make a ramp easily using C&C grids bent into and 'L' or 'you' shape and cover them with either carpet or vetbed (some people cover the bent grids with correx and then velcro fleece to it so it's easily removable for washing) - when i had my C&C i just made holes in the carpet and cable tied it to the grids :)

Thanks :) even a 2x4 is like double the space of what he is used to in his store cage :/ I am gonna buy a shower curtain today from tesco or Matalan if I can. Can't wait to see what he thinks of his new pad :)

C&C cages are definitely the way forward! Much cheaper than normal cages and much more roomier! Like you said you can change them around and extend if needed too! He is sooooo going to love it! Dottie & Mabel were originally in a ferplast cage, it seemed fine when they were teeny tiny, but two months later I realised it was way too small and they couldn't have many of their toys in there so I upgraded to a C&C, they went mad when I first put them in there, whizzing around and popcorning, they ran up and down the ramp straight away too :))

Aww, he's probably just getting used to it. Don't worry you'll see him running about before you know it! He's on his own too so he doesn't have another piggy to look to for support! Until he gets his new friend of course!
