Just done a quick cage clean and one corner of the cage is wet. I have put another puppy pad under this area and see how it goes.

another alternative would be some towelling under the fleece....

I will give that a try if this does not work. I had lots of nappy inners too but binned them all.

I have lots of wool squares that mum knits wonder if they would work under too?

Did you wash your fleece a few times before using it? Perhaps it isn't wicking through to the underneath level as it should? So hopefully this could improve as you wash it more in future.

I washed mine twice before using and the 'highest impact' corner (aka the wooden hidey house) is staying dry so far - I'm on day 3 of using fleece and plan to do a full changeover today :D

Yes i did wash it a few times. They are digging up the corners too and weeing underneath. Cage is so big it is difficult to get to the corners. Wee is not sitting on top of the fleece but going into it.

Which bit is wet? If it is the pad underneath then that will dry, might just have been weed on. A bit like a nappy, its whole purpose is to get wet, but the fleece is the stay dry layer between the absorbent bit and the skin. (Going along with the nappy analogy, wool won't work, the properties of wool make it brilliant to use as a stay dry outer layer for nappies as it allows air to circulate but doesn't absorb moisture unless it is compressed. I used wool trousers overnight on my kids for years to keep the bedding dry!)

The weeing underneath it is a pita, I am reconfiguring my set up to try and stop them doing that, I am fed up of them paddling about their own piddle!

Its the top fleece in the corner just damp. Rest of fleece is ok
