Stew has been at his bonding session since Tuesday evening. We have taken it really slowly this time and today I have heard he appears to like his new friend. They have been together since this afternoon with no problems.
I really hope I don't jinx things by writing on here. Fingers crossed that over night it remains all quiet and peaceful
More cage cleaning and new accessories to buy really want to bring them home and for this to be second time lucky. No arguments boys please:D

Fingers firmly crossed! I hope that Stew will come home with a new boarmate! It often takes more than one try to find "Mr Right"; but that is what dating is about.

After I texted you Julie, they had a little run in and a bit of fur went flying, its as if they know! All quiet again now, they are actually sat next to each other in a tunnel. Will give them a bedtime pile of hay and hope they don't wake me up tonight! What are you going to call the new boy?

Would you believe it.
I have no idea on a name yet think I will have to have him home for a couple of days to be able to give him a name that suits.
Hope you've had a peaceful night and they have behaved ?

well they were fine overnight but stew is being a bit of a pain this morning, chasing little one around and chattering a bit. The little one just puts his back to the wall or hides away, he doesn't seem that stressed by it all. He has a tiny nip on his rear end, i think that was from the tussle last night. I hope they settle down, l think they need to stay here a bit longer Julie, if that's ok. Stew is a right lad!

things seem to be improving, l put them out in the run and they seemed a lot more settled. Even saw them sitting together a couple of times. When I put them back inside there was a bit of a flurry again but nothing serious and they tucked into their veg. I think they will be ok, there has been nothing serious and they really like being together most of the time. Lets hope!

More positive news. Come on Stew don't let me down .
Been out today and bought new water bottles and houses with 2 exits. scrubbed everything again with vinegar solution . Just need some new fleece/vetbed for outdoor shelter as i doubt washing the old vetbed will eliminate Stews scent . Thanks Barbara for all your help you deserve a medal My boy is not the easiest of characters but deserves a companion.

that sounds like a good plan Julie. Stew only really plays up when the little one starts rumbling, as long as he is being placid, then stew is as well. So you must keep them away from other guinea pigs, especially girl pigs! The trouble with my home is there are guinea pig smells more or less everywhere, that's why they settled outside l reckon. They will probably be fine when you get them home.

No worries don't intended to have anymore due to work . One day when I retire would love to rescue, unfortunately thats somtime way in the future

when I went down this morning they were sat together in the hay, i think the little one really likes stew, he likes to follow him around. Stew still sometimes chases him but its more fun now than anything. So nice to see two lonely pigs make friends!
