I washed my new primark fleece twice in a row on 40 degrees (without fabric softener) and then I tumble dried it. It is possible for it to feel damp in places in the piggy hutch?

Would tumble drying fleece fluff the fibers back up again? Not sure about that

All my fleeces are hung on the airer to dry and it doesnt take long for the fleece to dry naturally

One thing I would mention is that if it was a really cheap fleece it may be a lot thinner than a better quality fabric. I've recently got a basic fleece blanket to use as rat hammocks and it's pretty thin.

Then have got some fleece for my piggies' playpen from eBay - the difference n thickness and quality is amazing! :))

If the fleece is pretty thin it will probably struggle to do it's job efficiently enough to cope with piggy wee. x

You may need to wash the fleece a few more times - i bought some new fleece a few months back and as i recall i had to wash it around 5 times before any liquid was wicking through to the layer underneath - was rather frustrating.....

To be honest, I am always wary of using fleece as a bedding material in outside hutches over the winter due to condensation contributing to making the fleece damp?

My girls now live in a free range shed with lazy bones houses to sleep in and although they do have fleeces and fleece cosies to snuggle up in outside of their lazybones houses, my main bedding is hay (wood shavings on newspaper on lino on the shed floor). Lazybones houses packed with hay.

Just my personnel opinion though.
