Dakota has sludge in her bladder !

Dakota started crying whilst passing urine in the middle of the week.She has been to see the guinea pig vet.xray showed sludge.
Treatment plan is..... Septrin 03mls twice aday,loxicom 1mls twice aday.
Increase water intake, wet veg.
Started cystease.filter water,?pellet free diet.
reduce calcium high veg.
She is needing syringe feed top ups, as she has lost weight
Not sure i can do anymore.

Would a bladder flush be worth doing? I’m not very experienced with bladder issues, as have never had a piggy with those sort of problems. I have looked after a few post op, after having bladder flushes though, that have seemed to have helped a lot

Thanks Debbie,I will ask the vet if she does not improve.Dakotas urine smelt very fishy,so hoping antibiotics help.
Giving 3 x15mls fluid challenges to see if it helps.

Dakota is feeling much better.after syringe feeding for three weeks,loxicom 1ml twice aday.
She is eating for herself,needs one top up 15ml syringe aday.twice daily syringing 15mls of water,cystease she is not squeaking whilst weeing.

Dakota is very up and down.ive noticed she has sores on all her feet.so now soaking in epsom salts twice aday and applying f10.Dakota is going to the guinea pig vet on thursday.she is still on loxicom,poor Dakota.ive placed vet bed in the cage ! Dakotas pals thinks its great,popcorning,and squeaks of joy for the fleece sack,and tunnel.Oscar has been very vocal !

Dakota has been to the vets.Her bladder is still sore.
Now on gabepentin,continue with cystease.
Soak feet twice aday....apply flamazine.
I'm still syringe feeding her.cisapride for gut stimulation.
Loxicom to continue ,reduce dose as able.
I hope she improves with this regime.
Poor Dakota.
