Thought Id ask, in case there is a reason I'm not thinking of. Would it be ok to feed my squeaky pee sow a cystease capsule contents mixed with critical care thick enough to spoon feed? I always see it recommended to mix with water and syringe feed. I find the powder a real pain to mix with water!

Note: The long version

This lady has seen the vet once for pain during urination. UA revealed lots of sediment but no infection. We did meloxicam for a few days and it went away. Going to try that (she just did two obvious squeaky pees last night and we gave one meloxicam dose) and she's been on oxbow joint support already. Wanting to add the higer glucosamine dose with the cystease for a few days and then try to get booked in if necessary 😍

You need to check what the packaging says whether the critical care can be taken with other medication. Not all recovery products can be combined anymore. I've been using a different recovery product so I am not on the up with CC.

Ok, I looked and it doesnt say anything to that effect. She doesnt need critical care for any reason right now, she just likes the taste of it and I thought it would be an easier way to get her to take the cystease powder ✨

Anything that goes down more easily. :tu:
I use emeraid, which should not be mixed with other stuff so I wanted to make sure.

Thank you!

I love the search function on the board too. I was just reading a post from 2017 about IC and cystease. Maybe going to do 1/2 capsule twice today, and still give her oxbow joint support treat and that will double up the glucosamine. We also put her on an “exercise program” so the sludge jiggles around and doesnt clump together into stones (in theory!)
