Just noticed a cut on Ginny's bottom lip. I'm trying to get a pic of it but he won't stay still long enough. It's only the length of probably less than half an ant, though it looks slightly fresh, few days old maybe? It doesn't look like he'd be bleeding from it. I'm not sure what could've done it except one of the other piggies.

:DIt does sound like one of the other pigs has bitten him. Have you noticed any fighting? If Ginny lives with another male, It may be the signal to separate them.

He's living with two girls currently :) One of them, Minja, has been snappy for the past few days but I'm not sure if she's in season (would that have an effect on her ability to bear Ginny trying to hump her?).

:D@Wiebke is the expert in the behaviour field. But yes, I think Minja probably bit him when he tried to mount her. She was clearly not in the mood! Males will try to mount females all through the year. They do not have a breeding season.

It can be a bite or just a swipe from a nail that has been a bit misjudged. Could you please give more background on the age, cage size, general bond between your two boys etc.? Have you noticed any change in their behaviour lately? if not and if they are still comfortable in each other's company, then chances are high that it is just an accident. If it is an intentional full bite in the course of a bite, the two boars would be rather hostile or guarded with each other.

I have two girls with him, the cage size is a 2x7 c&c and I think if one of girls did it, it would most likely be Minja. Her and Ginny seem to be argueing for who will be the leader with mounting from both every few days. This is the first time I've noticed any sort of possible physical injury from the other caused. It looks kinda fresh, and I did have to put all three of them in one hay tray for about ten minutes and they were getting antsy in it. Teddy, the other girl, is fairly quiet and the most skittish and does mounting attempts very rarely.

The girls have been a little more louder than normal, random teeth chattering while sitting alone or with me or whoever.
