Hi there, I've got 2 14 week old boars who i've had for a month. When I first got them they were both very nervous and skittish so when cuddling them I had them both on my lap at the same time to decrease their anxiety. This worked and they both seemed to get more confident in being held. Recently when they've been having cuddle time together they started getting over excited and they start arguing with each other for my attention which leads to not very happy cuddle time and me being peed on a LOT. rolleyes

I am trying to cuddle them separately now which seems to work with one of the boys, Indy, but Stitch still seems to get nervous when being held on his own. Stitch will squeak to Indy and struggle around on my lap. Indy is fine being held on his own and will snuggle up into me. x)

Is there anything I can do to make Stitch more happy when he's sitting on me?

Yes, buy or make a cozy!

Your piggies will feel much more secure if you put them in a cozy during laptime.

I second this - I use Cozies now at the rescue so that people can handle the piggies, and even littlun's can cuddle a pig in a Cozy (with supervision). They seem to feel much more secure if they are snuggled up - and of course, if they wee, it's not on your clothes! :))

Maybe I should try the cozy?

I have the same situation with my girlies. One of them is more skittish and doesn't seem to like being cuddled without her sister there. I'll have to look into this cozy thing. I've had them 2 years and the more nervous one (Mowbray) hasn't changed. She's still as nervous as ever.

My two are always much calmer when they go in their 'sleeping bags' at lap time, they adore being under or inside something soft and dark, makes them feel really secure and relaxed.

I second this too :)

Even Mr Woo who was supersonic on arrival is quite happy to have a cuddle in a cozy :)
