So I am going to invest in some of these (2 one per guinea pig) for catching, weighing and lap time .. I've also seen the bed types, are these any good? I'll be having outside piggies so figured it would be much nicer than just a hey bed.. Do I need to get them one each or would one they can snuggle in be better? Hard to tell I guess with me not even having any piggies yet but I'm hoping to get a ready bonded rescue pair? TIA for any advice xx

I would get two of everything just in case. They might share, but I've yet to have any of my pigs inside a cuddle sack or bed together. I have had one inside it and the other decide to lie on top whilst he was inside.

Most of my pigs haven't been ones for sleeping inside the cuddle sacks. They'll go inside when I put them in when it's lap time, but they tend to sleep on top of it

I made a snuggle sack for my 2 girls for lap time. They are very young and so super fast and very nervous, so I don't want them just loose on my lap just yet in case they jump off and hurt themselves (and the cats might get them). Also figured it would make them feel safer. They love it! And they're always in together when it's in their cage. Same with their fleece tunnel - they're frequently inside together. They love sleeping in both the snuggle sack and fleece tunnel. I find the runnel really helpful for moving them - they get scared when I open the cage and so run inside the tunnel. I grab both ends and can lift them up like that, safely tucked inside, and move them to wherever I need to (example another room for floor time). Sometimes I even take them out like that for lap time, then carefully put one end of the tunnel inside the snuggle sack. As soon as I look in the top part of the tunnel they run down into the snuggle sack LoL.
I'll try take a photo of the sack tonight as I'm not sure if it's the same design as what you're talking about. But mine are definitely happiest when in together.

Ah that's a good idea well done might get my Mum to dust off her sewing machine and make the piggies a present lol so guessing you made 2 with the other half's of the blanket and fleece? I'm useless on a sewing machine but I think if my Mums got time I'll ask her to knock us a few up if not it'll be buying a few from EBay thanks for that :)

It was actually really easy to make. I'm not at all experienced with a sewig machine but it really was pretty straight forward. I watched a YouTube video and just followed that. I made a fleece tunnel with the other half.

I watched a video by CavyCompanions called "how to make a cuddle sack". It worked like a week ago but now it's showing me video unavailable. Not sure if its maybe my internet connection though so will try post the link, just hope it works:

For the fleece tunnel I watched a YouTube video by TheCJWay:

Well done - it looks fantastic.
And I also started sewing guinea pig stuff watching You Tube tutorials.
Be warned though - it can become a bit of an addiction....
I am now physically unable to walk past fleece that is on sale

Well, I ended up buying from Ebay... I don't have a sewing machine and my Mum hasn't got the time to do them for me and the kids.. ooops but.. atleast the piggies will have some lol x
