Hi guys. My guineapig is 1 month 15 days old. For last 4 or 5 days I've been noticing some extra thing on his upper lip . It looks crusty . I'll take him to the vets. But I come here if you guys could suggest some primary treatment. Or if I could know what situation is this.

I’m sorry to hear this, does it look/feel like a scab of some sort?

Good luck at the vets tomorrow x

Please do get to the vet. This could be cheilitis which needs veterinary treatment and sadly can be fatal if left.
Cheilitis is bacteria or fungal getting into cracks in the skin.
Avoid feeding fruit or acidic items like tomatoes as these can cause cheilitis.

If he were mine, I'd still take him to the vet. Whatever it was on his lip, clearly wasn't supposed to be there. Just because it's gone, doesn't mean the problem has gone away. You have a nice clear photo to show the vet.

Is there a sore patch where it was? Maybe it was just a scab. I’d still get them seen by a vet just in case. Good luck.
