My guinea pig has this crust one one of his eyes. Is this some kind of infection or just a lot of dried cleaning fluid?

I am new to the forum so I don't know how to add a picture

Other than that he is eating and drinking normally.

Hi and welcome

Please upload a picture once your registration is fully processed, which may take a little while. We recommend using the Attach Files button by your reply box when you write your next post as this method always works. Our forum is not part of social media so the technical support may not be necessarily there otherwise.

Is the crust milky white (spilt cleaning fluid), transparent (spilt watery tear fluid, indicating an irritation, injury or pain) or is it a bluish/greyish gunk (ulceration from a infected eye scratch or hay poke)?

Hello and welcome to the forum. I’m sorry your piggy has a poorly eye. I’d get it checked out at the vets. Just to nip anything in the bud before it gets worse. Good luck I hope he’s soon on the mend.

Hello and welcome. Eyes can be seen by any general vet, it doesn't need to be a specialist. Personally I would try to get it looked at ASAP as an emergency appointment.
