But be kind ;)

It looks cluttered :/ , I can't expand beyond the 2x4, I just don't have the space (turns out I don't really have space for 2x4 either, but let's gloss over that, who needs a dining table?) DSC_0205.webp

There's a fleece pad on the bottom. The blue and green stripy box in the bottom right is a shoe box with a couple of holes cut in to act as a hidey. We have one of those plastic step stools too but my husband left it behind at his Mum's so this is standing in for now. Fleece tunnel from a C&C grid (shamelessly stolen from the lovely video a member posted with half a dozen piggies "parked" in these, made me properly smile), wooden play sticks, apparently the little boy loves those at the shelter and then a fleece sack (which needs some boning added, a job for later on this evening) Obviously hay needs to go into the rack, that's ready and waiting, and there are a couple of water bottles ready and waiting too. Oh and bowls. I've got a box full of toilet roll tubes, a couple of paper bags and a big cardboard tube that we hope to use to herd and catch them.

Am I on the right track? We collect them tomorrow!

I think you have done very well. If they are nervous in their new home to start with you could pop a blanket or towel over part of the top for a bit of privacy but that looks good. Lucky piggies.

Ah, yes, I'd forgotten about that. I meant to stop in a charity/cheapie shop today to see if they had anything suitable. I'll raid the airing cupboard, there'll be something buried in there. Thank you x

Once they have settled in it would be lovely to see a picture of your piggies in the cage.

My husband is a photographer. Nothing in this house can move without being photographed from every angle. Once he has decided to stop twittering on about BBQ piggies (oh how that gets old quickly) I'm sure they will be photographed more than any piggie has ever known ;)

that looks a lovely set up.. As above, just add something to cover the top over in one area, i just use a fleece and an old towel .. look forward to seeing the photos !

Looks like a great set up! Quick question, what do you use as boning in the snuggle sacks? I've made a few that just don't stay open, no matter what I try!

I haven't used anything yet to be honest, I haven't got round to it, but I put "boning" into ebay and got some bridal/corsetry stuff. It arrived but I haven't opened it, it says you need goggles to open the envelope and it scared me off, lol. As it happens though the sacks were a bit long and so I am able to roll them back a couple of times and that is enough to keep them open just now. Timmy looked to have slept in one last night.

If you want a dead cheap boning solution how about the plastic from a 2litre fizzy drinks bottle? I use old jeans legs folded around those to make tunnels but no reason why you couldn't use the curved shape of a piece cut to provide the opening to your fleece. Just make sure there are no ruff edges with a bit of sandpaper.

That is an excellent suggestion! I shall enlist the OH to drink some fizzy! Thank you :tu:
