When do you all put your decorations up? Ours go up on friday and will end up looking like Santa's grotto with the amount of lights that we have inside and out!

My shopping is all done except one more for my younger brother! And the wrapping is all done!

First lot of crimbo cards were sent the other day and need to get more stamps tomorrow so the rest will be sent. You have warning! ;)

Plus, on friday, it's day 1 on your advent ;) ;) LOL
 
Wow! How organised are you! :o Our decorations don't go up until about the 15th, we like a real tree and if we put it up too early we just end up walking around on pine needles. Haven't done any cards yet :( but I do have a few pressies sorted out but definately not wrapped. Still in the hiding them from everyone stage.
 
OOO cant wait, ours are going up on saturday,OH wants to wait but me and the kids are in charge! ;D I love it when the house is all decorated,and crimbo-ifed!
 
am going to school xmas fayre saturday Portsmouths victorian christmas at the historical dockyard sunday so no idea when decs go up am thinking of not putting our usual decs outside becase we have kids running mad around here in the evenings and we dont want the blow ups ruined so maybe just roof lights this year, the indoor ones will be next sunday 10th, all pressies sorted and most wrapped, new ones to be done about 15 left to wrap most family cards written just normal ones to do,
 
Always like to be done and dusted by the 1st! :)

Going to Victorian evening tonight. That or PHAB Bingo - which is a bit poo! :D
 
All my shppings done but I won't the decorations up until the middle of December-I love it when the house is all chrsitmassy-especially when you can just have the tree lights on at night-it's so cosy!
 
I cant decide when to put ours up, we are going to Center Parcs on 11th December for 5 days and i cant decide wether to put the tree up before we go or when we get back on the 15th!

I have put half of my trimmings up tonight and half tommorow night as I'm too tired lol :) I love christmas
 
You lot are bonkers! I leave it as late as poss & take them down as soon as poss - bah humbug!

Just had a thought, in a village near me there was a house that was decorated from top to toe with lights etc & they had a collection box for a local charity. Those with outdoor lights maybe if you can secure a box you could do a collection for a Guinea rescue.....
 
we might not put our outdoors decs out this year as the past few nights have had a gang of kids playing knock down ginger and chicken in the road outside so lord knows what they would do with our expensive blow ups and lights, a new area has been built behind us and the kids are running riot another good reason for me to move out in the country,

I am not putting my decorations up till next week it's our first year with a big tree this year still a little unsure about it ,might only last a week if that b4 my kids pull it down,or climb up it plus the cat plays with all the baubles you can only redecorate it so many times b4 it gets a tad tiresome.

Still can't wait though ,I am getting a little worried though by how quick time has started going I am told it goes quicker as you get older so I am starting my mid life crisis early at 26 ;D
 
I hate xmas, always have. I put my decs up late as poss and take them down as soon as too. Last year I didn't even bother
 
I love chrimbo!

Our trees already up and the lounge looks really cosy with all the lights on. No christmas written yet though and no pressies wrapped although i have nearly finished buying......

Got our annual trip to Mackro coming up for all our christmas booze.......hooray! :)
 
We put ours up really late, well, about the 15th of December usually, sometimes closer to the 20th, then Dad always says he will take it down on Boxing day ?

Hopefully I can persuade my Nannan to put hers up tomorrow :D
 
last year I started in October ;D It was just so cold and miserable and I felt so alone in my first winter in the UK, so I desperately wanted some light and glitter in my house! But I put the proper decoration up in early December, before that only some decoration on the mantelpiece and some fairy lights around the house.
 
LOL Ulrike! I've never been THAT early! :D

Tree and decorations up, outside lights up tomorrow!
