Arrghhhh just thought I'd come on here for a quick moan. My neighbours are so annoying. I was trying to have a bit of a lie-in today as I've been off work with a viral infection thing. I was all snuggled up in bed when our retired neighbours started mowing their lawn and trimming the edge. It's February for heavens sake - surely it's not mowing time already. It was only snowing last week!

They are so meticulous about their garden and keep their house super clean and tidy. They are up at about 5am hoovering and scrubbing down the back yard. It drives me mad. They are nice neighbours really - if a bit nosey about things - but for some reason their anal attitude to housekeeping drives me mad!

Ohh thats annoying - nothing worse than planning a extra double delight snooze and having someone ruin it...if its any consolation my OLD next door neighnours used to try and kill ecah other each weekend - i spent most sat nights glued to the bedroom waall listening :-\ it was better than any tv or movie - her fav phase was -

I *BLEEEEEEEP* WISH YOOOOOO WAS *BLEEEEEEEEEP* DEAD !

nice.... :)

If thats all they do you're lucky. My old neighbour was noisy all day and all night. I could hear him inside and outside my house. I loved my house at first, but then came to hate it because it didn't feel like my house. I was never alone, and there was never quiet. I miss my house, and still wish and hope my old neighbour is dead. Nasty yes, but thats how much hatred i have for this bleep. >:(

Our old neighbours (we llived in a maisonette) were awful. They started out okay, then Dad, who obviously kept them all in line left, leaving Mum, 2 teenage daughters and a young son - then our lives of hell started :-\ loud, like, shelf shaking, deafening music started all hours, day and throughout the night, large groups of kids and teens hanging around all day and night, they had flocks of them in the downstairs flat, it was like a squatters dwelling :-\ when we politely asked them to turn it down they were rude then turned it up...if we lost our rags and banged on the floor they would bang back louder, then turn it up and yelled through the floor at us.

Kids used to stamp on our plants and shrubs, ride bikes and hang out on our steps and lawn, messed around with people's cars, kicked footballs at our windows and broke into our garden. Doors slamming and shrieking went on all night. It got so bad we practically moved in with my lovely in-laws and the stress we were under was unbearable. These people made our lives an absolute misery :-\ It's taken nearly two years to recover since we moved out! I'm not joking, it was terrible. Just thinking about it makes my blood pressure shoot up lol!

The worse thing was after we finally managed to sell the place at a knockdown price after buyers dropping out at crucial stages (!) the sods moved out themselves 6 months later, and apparently ripped the place apart. >:(

Now I have lovely, lovely neighbours who are nice and elderly and quiet lol, but as we are in a semi now, I always worry that when they leave we will get lumbered with a family like that one again...

Blimey, most of that sounds like my trouble! Except we were downstairs. We had to sleep in the living room because it was so noisy. You are so right about the stress. I hate even thinking about how we used to live because i can feel my self getting angrier and angrier. We now live next door to a council house. The family(bit gobby but nice enough) are moving. I'm now dreading who or what might be moving next door. I couldn't take the stress again. Still, now i'm in the police that should be a bit of an advantage.

Isn't it awful? I think that has been one of the worst times out my life. The constant stress, I was on meds for high blood pressure because of them not to mention the other physical symptoms - my chiro practor said I had 'shallow beathing' which is apparently what stress does and my shoulders have worked themselved practically up into my neck with tension.. Sorry, am not usually a hypochondriac, but like yourself, just thinking back to it makes me so angry. Its amazing how other people can cause others such misery just by being utterly thoughtless and selfish :(. I can totally relate to you hating you house. Our flat was great, lovely and spacious, but we grew to despise it because of those people, we just could not bear to be there in the end :( We used to enjoy going to work just to get away, how sad is that lol! We dreaded weekends cos that was when they were at their worst...

Excatally how we felt. His excuse was 'well i've lived here 13 years'. So f****** what, you dont live in my house! I miss my massionette. When i win the lottery i will buy it back, once he's rotting in hell i'l buy his dirt cheap and go back and live in my part again and leave his to rot with him. Wont have to worry about neighbours then! It's awful what some people are like.

Phew it sounds like we've got off really lightly with our neighbours then. Of course these ones are nowhere near as bad as in the apartment we used to live in. Upstairs a couple used to have screaming matches followed by extremely loud 'making up' sessions!

:o

I can totally relate to this. I lived in a bedsit and the couple in the room above me would play really loud music from 8pm to 8am every night. It was so loud my furniture shook and vibrated. If I asked them to turn it down they were rude and turned it up. It got to the stage where I was a nervous wreck. Every time I heard a noise I would jump and shake. No-one can imagine the effect living with that level of noise can have on you.
