So. My cat is scared of my guineapigs. I am thinking about moving there cage. He doesn't sleep in my room during the day but he will at night. Would it be ok if I covered there cage at night until he is used to them?

Sure it would be okay of you covered their cage. It is actually better your cat is scared of them as it means she will be less likely to want to attack them. I am sure she will get used to them eventually though.

Thats fine to cover their cage, providing they get enough ventilation also it will keep them warmer since its winter and temps drop at night :)

he is ten... he used to be a outside/inside cat and caught mice all the time. I think it's because the guinea pigs are used to the cats at my fiance's house (I am currently going to school so I don't live with him but they have a cage at his place, this cat is from my dads when I was growing up, he could no longer take care of him so he's now with me.) so they are not scared of him. And they are alot bigger than mice. I hold him up to there cage and maybe it's becasue I am holding him but he squirms and when I put him down he runs away.

You've just reminded me that I have a floor vent for heat and it will probably get to them.... Should I make the side that had the floor vent solid so there is no problems? Or is the an entire problem that can't be fixed? Or will it be ok. This is the only source of heat to my room... if it's a problem I need to know.

Its actually funny because the one who will walk up to the edge of the cage looks like him.
