I'm trying to find a run with a cover at the moment because I can't leave my guinea pigs alone in the garden even for a few minutes because they get mobbed by the local crows!:...

I can't afford more than £100 and can't go on ebay. It's really hard to try and sort this out as I'm studying for my GCSE's and am exausted. I still find time to play with them but normally I would like them to run on the grass for a couple of hours instead of half an hour slots when I can fit them in! :red

Please help
:(

You can improvise. :) We use fabric mesh to line ponds. It is available from Wilko's and is under £3 I think. Hold it down with clothes pegs. So if you find a run without the lid then I would go for that. :) Birds are a right pain, they are here too!

here is what i got, due to be delivered hopefully today!

I didnt want to get one with fabric mesh as I live in a studio flat and have to put the run a little distance away - i know this isnt fox proof but gives me some more relief that fabric mesh as if a cat jumps on top too, they arent going to pull the mesh off!

10% off first order and freee delivery

Also, I have a voucher code for any run or hutch at Zooplus, its for £10 off when you spend £49. The code is 10TH-BDAY It runs out today!

It's a nice run, but make sure you get a sheet of mdf or peg a bath towel over the top to give them shade and protection.

In their natural habitat, guinea pigs are likely to be attacked by raptor birds, that's why they are so wary of open spaces! On a hot day, you can also damp down the sheet so it can cool down the ait while drying. A frozen water bottle wrapped in a towel is best, though!

The run also has a protection net you can buy especially for it, perfect for these lazy summer days!

Thanks everyone
I've just found out that my mum's friend's husband will make us one for free which is great!
Thanks for your help anyway!
