so next weekend newly adopted piggie Zest will have been with me a month and i plan to introduce her to the rest of the girls. i nervous! any reccomendations as to how to go about this?

Very best of luck, I hope all goes smoothly.

We introduced our girls last week and we very very lucky in that they all got along brilliantly!

We introduced ours on the sofa covered with a new fleece (so the smell was neutral) I sat at one end with our two older girls and my OH at the other with our new girl. They found each other in the middle :)

Like Joanne says, lots of veggies should help as hopefully they'll be more interested in this than each other initially.

Have a towel or something at hand, just incase to throw over them

thanks all! Zest makes piggie number 5. i did use some cubes to make a barrier and she is currently in one end of the c&c cage that the 4 other girls are in. i can't wait until this weekend to see how they get on!

so far so good? *touch wood* they hung out in the pen together while i cleaned the big cage, ate some veggies and did ok....gave them a bath too just for good measure! it seemed to work wonders for reintroducing Tallulah to HB, Val and M soooo....there is some noise and general fussing going on, mostly between Zest and Lulah...but nothing serious, so fingers crossed folks!!

so far so good! only very minor scuffles!

They look OK (or, better STUNNING) and properly absorbed in their food!

Minor scuffles and other dominance behaviour are normal and can go on for a bit, but will hopefully subside in time. Usually, if food is shared peacefully, you are well on the way to being OK.
