I'm thinking of using an outdoor storage shed and adapting it. I'm sure ive seen it either on this forum or a bunny forum. I would create a mesh front for it and put in a few levels with tunnels etc.
The things I'm not sure about;

How would I insulate it?

Could I close the front door during cold weather ? as I'm worried if there would be sufficient ventilation.

I suppose I could make night shutters.
If anyone has done or seen the same , please can you post the link. Id be interested in any advice :)p
Here is the link for the storage unit I'm thinking about.....

Ive seen simarler on a facebook group a while ago, i think it was a block of 4 hutches built within the storage shed, they did close the doors in bad weather.

But with the door closed in winter and no window they'd be living in total darkness, wouldn't they?

If this link works okay, there is a picture of what you're thinking of there (I think).
I was basically thinking of doing something very similar, but decided against it because of the lack of windows. I had though that I would just shut the doors before I went to bed and open them first thing in the morning, but then I started to wonder about what I would do during prolonged periods of terrible weather? Maybe you could make some sort of see-through, ventilated rain shield though?

How about cutting windows in the doors and putting perspex/clear tarpaulin so they can still have light while keeping snug?

I think it would make a great guinea pig shed/house, although obviously you'd have to take the time to do all the adjustments of adding windows and consider how best to seal them etc.
Inside you could have like a hutch cover that would make a curtain at the front door? So the shed could be open with the cover closed as long as it was see through ?
