I've been looking at the prices of VetBed and I was wondering whether it would be a good option? My piggies live in an outdoor hutch, and I'm fed up of woodshavings everywhere, and there's so much mess! Would this be a good option, or would they really need to be indoors?

I use vetbed in my C&C but my piggies are indoors. I dont see why you couldnt use it for an outdoor hutch along with hay. Be warned though, its not easy removing all the hay from vetbed before you wash it ;)

Hmm, I suppose I'll have to grab a portable hover too :)) I've also been looking at fleece, but I'm not sure about that..

i have got a out door cage and upstairs they got vet bed and igloo down stairs got hay with newspaper underneath but had to wash vet bed so put shreded newspaper in

I have a handheld hoover too which I use to pick up the poop a couple of times a day. Good thing about vetbed is you just pull it out, shake it off then stick it in washer...easy! ;) Fleece probably works just as well but it wont absorb the wee like vetbed does so top will be wet. Vetbed takes it through to the bottom so that the surface is dry

Yeah, fleece probably wouldn't be the best thing, vetbed here I come! I've seen that it can work outside and will keep my piggies nice and toastie :))
