Hi, so I've previously posted about my guinea pig Luna who had respiratory issues. She died around 2 weeks ago now. Her cage mate Leia was subdued the first couple days after but once I brought in new cage mates shes doing much better. But now, I'm panicking, because she's started sneezing and making the same coughing noises Luna did. Other than the cage mate additions there have been no changes to the cage or her diet. As I reduced dust for Luna I still maintain that so I dont think its that. Has anyone experienced their cavy showing same/similar symptoms of the cavy that passed away?

Thank you

I'm sorry that you're going through this. I would suggest taking your piggy to the vet to get checked out. Fingers crossed that the vet can help you sort out what's going on.

Hi!

I am ever so sorry for your loss.

Please have her vet checked and if necessary ask for a swab to be analysed in a lab. It can well be that her loss has lowered her immune system enough for a reservoir of bugs to become active.
It is very normal to be extremely jittery when you are presented with the same or very similar symptoms or a similar situation after a loss or bad experience.
