ive just finished 'crafting' a cosy cave, which one guinea pig loved and sat inside and the other sat on top with the other piggy underneath! Because it's a bit squishy, could one piggy suffocate the other? Or would brute force prevail and they'd be flipped off? Thinking about it..they can really bosh stuff when they want to!IMG_0734.webp

Just tonight I found out what happens when piggies get squashed:
Godfrey popped into his cube for a rest (it's so TIRING being a furball) when Duncan decided he would toddle on TOP of the cube. Godfrey shot out like a speeding bullet, poor thing! So I'd say not to worry, pigs are very squirmy creatures when they need to be.

I think there could be two outcomes here:

a) squished pig gets the fright of their life and extracts itself/comedically flips roof pig
b) squished pig feels even snugglier, like roof pig is giving him an extra cosy cuddle

Either way, I think they'll make it clear if they're not comfy :))

I'm sure the one underneath would soon tell the one on top to shift it lol

I wouldn't worry too much about this. This takes place on a daily basis in Mollie and Mabel's cage. Mollie is a great big lump of a boisterous pig and Mabel is considerably more petite and gentle. Mabel is often asleep in a snuggie/sqube/snugleoo when Mollie will decide either to sit on top of it or to roll over it like a tank to get past it. Mabel is known to shout in most un ladylike language to get off, and to squirm out through the smallest of spaces to get out. She's never come to any harm, but she has been known to kick Mollie on the way out. I'm sure your piggies will be fine, too.
