Hi guys & gals, OH & PIGGIES,

Just wondering, wanting to make a C&C cage and was just thnking how thich the correx corrugated plastic should be. I've heard 2mm/4mm and even
10mm. Obviously cheaper on ebay, but want to be sure what is best so we can get the suitable equipment for a four storey 3X2 block of flats.

Hi

Just a thought..............

How big should bulldog clips be.........Mine are 25mm Bulldog Clips.
How long should cable ties be............ Any ones will do, you don't need huge ones, you need alot I used well over 100. Can't remember the size though mine are pretty small
How thick should the corrugated plastic be..............

mine is 10mm from B&Q think it was roughly £10 a sheet, I have used 2-4mm and found it was very flimsy.

Hi,

Thanks for that. Can you place small sheets next to each other or does it preferably need to be in one unit? Also how do mean flimsy?

The piggies are really demending a new home, I feel obligated now.

I had one of my pigs on the top floor, Wilma she used to live there she refused to walk on it previously. I always had to keep her in the bottom floor so she felt secure, all the others were ok with it. Shes clearly a Cautious Little pig.

It's very Flimsy in my opinion, I scrapped it. Lots of people do use it but I much prefer the sturdy, clear base.

Now I have the 10mm sheets, which is one big unit, you could stick it together but I couldn't be bothered doing that C&C is so much work, you want it completed as fast as you psychically can.

Hi,

Thanks again, do the piggies bite the correx, as our Charlie just about munches everything.

lol i would say the correx came off worse.

i dont know if this is any help or not, but my dad works at the local council, and he got me some old signs that were no longer needed, (he asked first), these are made from the same stuff.

Mine bite it but if you cover it with fleece they cant get to it,

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. What if I wanted to use traditional bedding? I mean, is chewing correx bad for them?

We want to build a 4 storey high 3X2 block of flats, with hinged doors (as advised by flintstones THANKS AGAIN), but it is just the correx biting thing.

Cause I really want to sort something out for them to get space.

Mine have the Odd Knaw but then give up. I don't cover my correx and its still intact but they did bite the 2 mm stuff!
