Hi,

I have just received a huge piece of correx via courier today. I'm so excited. I can finally build the base for tigers cage. Problem is I don't know where to start. Do I put the correx inside or outside the bars? Will it get nibbled on the inside? Also can I use electrical tape to build the base or does it have to be duct tape (is there a difference?) what is the best thing to use to cut it also?

Sorry for all the questions, going to be a busy bee on Saturday! :))

Correx inside the bars. (they very occasionally nibble in my experience but not a problem)

First time round I used duct tape but didn't like how it looked. This time round I have not taped the correx at all but used cable ties to tie the corners together.

I cut with a Stanley knife.

Have fun ;)

if you are stuck use www.guineapigcages.com it has a section on correx

its really easy, make tabs in the corner, and tape up - make sides to about 6 inches and hey presto!

i use a stanley knife to cut, and when you do the folds, remember not to cut deeply, go over very lightly to allow it to bend.

that is a great step by step guide for the base thanks! I was wondering about an upper level though! How would you attach one?
