Correx Sides?

How tall should i let my correx side's be?
My correx is only 2mm thick but i've ordered 2 pieces of it so that I can make it double thickness on the base at least.
Should i double thickness the sides or leave them?

You can make them as high or low as you like. It will depend on the type of bedding you're using. You might want it higher is you're using something like Megazorb so it can't get kicked out.
 
Mines 5 inches high all around but as mentioned on your other thread, I'm about to replace some and I think next time I will make it about 6 inches high but higher still at the back to stop hay and poop being flicked out between the cage and my skirting board lol
 
would it be better to do that the other way around? I'm thinking they're more likely to trapse megazorb down and flick ir around/spill it than trapse it upstairs, if you see what i mean. Just a thought but or course you could trial it either way :) Plus I think they'll be more likely to sleep upstairs.
 
Beth mine is 15cm/6 inches high and single thickness 2mm and its fine and they dont kick the megazorb outside the cage :-)

edit: I thought you were getting 4mm?

Mine is somewhat doubled up in the middle where the two bits overlap :-) its pretty strong and seems pretty cool , you can get waterproof tape designed for sealing greenhouses and stuff to join them together and keep them waterproof
 
I used 4mm but had to join it in places as my cage is a weird shape lol! I used the clear weatherproof tape from Wickes, it's about £7 for a roll which lasts ages.

I made my sides 6 inches high as I thought the piggies would be less likely to chew it rolleyes however I made my fleece cage liners to drape over the sides & tuck underneath so they can't get to it anyway lol ;)
