Correx Please Help

I'm sorry if there's been a hundred of these posts but I couldn't find one! I am doing a c and c cage and fit my correx, followed all the directions on the grendle page and the base for one of my c and c cages is too big. I need to make my one base smaller, and need to.make the other base. Please help. Any directions, tips or instructions very very welcome!! x
 
I found that the dimensions aren't always exact, when building my C&C I ended up with the base being a fair length shorter than the grid base but my 2x1 lofts were too big!

How much bigger is the base than it's supposed to be? The only thing I could suggest is re-scoring and folding on the new lines and taping up the original wrong scores - if that makes sense?
 
Its quite a few cm each way longer :( yes, I think that's what I'll have to do, the only solution I think!! Thanks :)
