Lady Kelly
Senior Guinea Pig
Did anyone watch the Coronation today? I had it on in the background but Jessica lost interest very quickly despite bringing a flag home from nursery to wave. She was happy to have it on as long as she could watch Blippi on her tablet at the same time
My husband wasn't fussed but I was explaining that even those who were alive for Queen Elizabeth's coronation are unlikely to have watched it as TVs were still not common household items, definitely not affordable for everyone and only in black and white.
I do feel for Charles though, he looked so tired. It's such a long process and everything (especially those crowns) look so heavy! Having lost a parent I wasn't fit to go to work for over a month after and that was me in my early 30's. Let alone taking up some a big baton, having to go through all this pomp and ceremony while in your 70s (when most people in the country would be retired).
