Corn On The Cob Fear!

Good heavens! My pigs have never liked those dried corn on the cobs but stan used to love fresh ones and used to take the lead in stripping all the corn off and benson used to tug of war over it.

Not something they got very often.

Now, with stan sadly departed, i put a fresh cob in for the first time about half an hour ago and both Benson and mike have taken cover in a paper bag! Now they know I'm watching, they are out of the bag but giving that corn a very wide berth! They seem very suspicious of this large thing in their cage!

Stan would have been well into that by now . . .

Ha, That is brilliant. I love that corn on the cobs are suspicious. My 5 really love corn on the cobs, but only the fresh ones. With the dried ones they just pulled the corns off and then left them.

Let us know will you - the really annoying thing is that benson really loves corn on the cob. He and stan fought over it!

mike looks to him for guidance and i find the pair of them hiding from the cob! Pathetic, benson!

Chock didn't like a spring green leave i put in his cage Chock decided to sit there and start rumbling at it and click his teeth at it
All his fur along his back was all standing up as well

I bought a small plush pig that was supposed to be a dog toy, it may have even had a squeaker. I brought it home and thought it would be cute to put the pig with my pigs so put it in the corner of my cage. The pigs were highly suspicious and wouldn't go in that end of the cage for 2 days until I gave in and took it out

I've removed the cob. it was a pretty pricey cob too as it was from the farm shop. Pigs oblivious to that though! ​

Mine won't touch corn on the cob either, but then the list of what they will eat is much smaller than the one they will. Fussy little devils look at me like I'm trying to poison them if I try anything new. I swear some food they eat and love only if there is a r in the month or something.

If it is organic and expensive they automatically know and will not touch it.
