image.webp I got some corn from my dad's allotment today. I heard that guinea pigs can eat part of it but which bits can they eat?

:D:D
If your Dad hasn't used pesticides, they can have the green "leaves" ( often referred to as husks ).

They can have stringy buts too ( known as silk )

Beautiful Fudge

They can have the corn too - but you
deserve to eat something !

Thank you! He doesn't use any pesticides.

I will give them some for dinner today. :)

Do you know how often they can have them? We have a lot of corn. :D

The corn itself should be limited as its very high in carbohydrates (and therefore sugar), and very poor nutritionally. The husks (leaves) and silks though I believe can be given often. My piggies LOVE the leaves and silks.

Brilliant photos - my lot also love the husks and silks but it is actually quite hard to get hold of them over here.
Most of the corn I buy has already had them removed.
