Anyone got a cordless vacuum cleaner? I have a maximum budget of £200, I've been looking at the Vax ones but if enough people have the Shark or Dyson ones and say they're worth the extra then I'll pay it.
It's only me, hubby and the beastie boys so I don't think I need anything particularly heavy duty.

I have a cordless Dyson…but…..
I really liked it and made life so much easier initially. It worked really well for about 2 years then just seemed to keep getting blocked up so easily even though it was always kept clean and blown through with a compressor. The slightest bit seemed to set it off with a blockage fault. Finally the electrical connections on the main cleaning head stopped working so now it is used just as a handheld for small spillages and cleaning the car.
At the time a few of the ladies at work said they prefer Shark.
We’ve gone back to a corded Henry (as we had it kicking around anyway) which I really don’t like but my husband likes doing the vacuuming (in fact he likes doing all the cleaning - I’m a very lucky girl!) so….over to him!

I have a cordless shark but I’m very disappointed - it can’t cope with bits of hay - it gets blocked so easily ! So I prefer my old Dyson - I’ve had it 8 years and it gets used daily for quick hay / fluff removal and 1 or 2 times weekly for a full vacuum of my 2 bed house

This is the one with a few upgrades
I’ve heard Henry are very good tho

The cordless will be for the upstairs that should be relatively hay free as we have an old hoover turbo power for the downstairs. The problem is that it's really heavy so I won't be able to cope with getting it upstairs. Also the staircase is bendy so I was thinking a cordless would be ideal. I'm looking at 2 different shark ones that have £100 & £150 off respectively.
If the old hoover dies on me the replacement has to be an upright due to two bad backs here. Bless it, it cost £300 about a decade ago, I've had my monies worth.

My shark is an upright cordless one that can be detached to be a handheld one. It’s ok for light carpet and I use it upstairs .
It has a light at the base which is useful to see what you might miss and it goes under things very well
