Thank you so much! I will checkout the link and update with the weight next week. I also have another question. When I am outside of Cookie’s cage he bites the cage bars. It used to be worse but now it’s just slightly nibbling. However when I sit in his cage, he stops the biting and starts popcorning I think it’s just for my attention but could it be anything else? I did think it was his teeth since he hates chew toys and apple wood sticks but he is provided with lottts of hay about (2x1 c and c size of his 4x2 just of hay ). I do think it would be nice for him and walnut each to have a friend instead of living side by side with dividers. This just looks like normal fluctuation.
We dont consider weight loss to be until they have lost 50g or more within 24 hours. Losing 100g or more in 24 hours is an emergency vet visit.
Or if they have lost 100g over a sustained downward trend over a longer period of time (weeks to months).
Definitely keep an eye on him with the weekly checks but its only 19g in a month which isnt concerning.
