anyone converted a dog cage for piggies? I want to Bring Indiana in but I find the indoor cages too small and I want to get him a buddy

I did for a while and quite liked it in that they could get in and out of the cage however the mess was awful and I never found a way to keep the hay in - tried cardboard, plastic and trays, it still got everywhere.

If yours aren't on hay tho it might work for you.

xx

Thanks, yeah he does sleep on hay at the moment. he is outside and I just find it too lonely as don't get to spend a lot of time with him that way, I really cant afford the c and c stuff which I would love

could you put a correx base (same as used with a c&c cage) into the dog crate to make it easier to clean ?

How about cable-tying some acrylic panels along the bottom edges of the dog cage to hold in substrate & hay? You could do this with coroplast too - the big sheets aren't very expensive & you probably wouldn't need that much. I'm sure Indiana would really appreciate being indoors & having your company and a friend too :)

Thanks guys, my other idea was connecting two indoor cages you know the ferplast ones and have a bridge from one to other? would that work?
